Mini Vinnies
Mini Vinnies – Living Out Our Faith in Action
At St William's, we are proud to have an active Mini Vinnies group, which is the junior branch of the St Vincent de Paul Society. Mini Vinnies are children who come together to put their faith into action by helping those in need within our school and wider community.
What Do Mini Vinnies Do?
Mini Vinnies follow the example of St Vincent de Paul, showing kindness, compassion, and service to others. Their role includes:
- Helping Others – Supporting local charities, organising food collections, and raising awareness of important social issues.
- Living Out Our Faith – Encouraging prayer and reflection, as well as leading assemblies and Celebrations of the Word.
- Taking Action – Running fundraising events, visiting those in need, and spreading messages of hope and kindness.
- Working Together – Collaborating with teachers, parish members, and the wider community to make a real difference.
Who Can Join?
Mini Vinnies is open to pupils throughout school, who have a passion for helping others and making the world a better place. Meetings are held regularly, where children share ideas, plan activities, and pray together.
Through their actions, Mini Vinnies help to create a school environment filled with faith, love, and service, making a positive impact on everyone around them.
